Autonomous city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. 280 SM/ 2,800 SF. 1994
Description
In this typical “chorizo” house renovation, the entire ground floor was connected tearing walls, widening openings and adding skylights. A new mezzanine playroom was added on top of a semi-buried dining room.
A Chorizo house is the popular name of a typical Argentine house derived from the early Spaniards planning norms, typical of the 1900’s that include a half-courtyard on a standard 8.66 m wide urban lot.
