Description
This ocean retreat project proposes a house with simple geometries and subtle spaces to enjoy the maritime climate. A double story prism contains sleeping and service spaces as single stories and living spaces as double heights.
There are three types of double height spaces: interior enclosed, open exterior and semi covered exterior, with a lattice type roof that lets filtered light through linear slots. The house opens up to the north side yard, while it closes itself towards service, entrance to the south.
The exterior elevations get activated with color accents that break up the prism and accentuate the contrast between open and solids.
