Breck House-Breckenridge, Colorado, USA 430 SF/4,340 SF- 2007
Description
This project’s main challenge was to take advantage of the steep mountain slope, the surrounding conifer forest and the views of the valley. In order to achieve this the house was organized as a 3-story stepped prism perpendicular to the slope. The west glass façade contains a linear stair that spans along its length, introducing the forest views and the west sun into the daily life of the house.
